XR solutions

We create and consult on immersive heritage and XR experiences, blending digital and physical worlds. The company aims to use the newest digital methods to deliver audio and visual extended reality in order to explore cultural heritage preservation, education, and visitor engagement.

Operation Fringe is a free web game that used augmented reality and was created with the view of engaging 16-21 year olds living in Edinburgh with the wider aim of socioeconomic inclusion during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Partnering with the Fringe Society, each stop along the trail was at a Fringe Society Venue: theSpace at Surgeons’ Hall, Summerhall, and C Arts at Lauriston Hall. The game revolved around a time-sensitive mission to prevent a drone attack. The player had to visit all three venues to complete the missions, drumming up engagement for each participating venue along the way and fostering good relations within the wider Fringe Society.

The Adam Smith Audio Trail

The Adam Smith Audio Trail is a GPS located immersive audio experience that was commissioned by The Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow to mark the tercentenary of economist Adam Smith’s birth and to cement his ties to the University. The audio trail is a concept following on most closely from recent work with the National Trust and the National Archives.

We created an audio narrative that guides users through key locations at the University of Glasgow, bringing the stories of Adam Smith to life through diverse voices and original audio recordings. Taking the clients considerations into mind we created a narrative that introduced the audience to some of Smith’s lesser known teachings, focusing on how they can be applied to the modern age. It was important for us to use a critical lens when discussing how Smith’s teaching could be applied to the modern world to provide a nuanced and meaningful resource for students that explored some of the topics highlighted by the University Poll. These included Smith’s relationship to Colonialism, Women’s Rights and Environmentalism.

The main trail was narrated by Craig Smith - Professor of the History of Political Thought at the University of Glasgow and Pheona Matova - A JMS Scholar with the Adam Smith Business School. The additional three bonus stops were narrated by Kirsteen Daly - the accreditations, rankings and communications manager at the University of Glasgow, Michele Battisti - professor of Economics at the Adam Smith Business School and Yingru Lin - senior lecturer in Accounting.
